The first stop on the day trip is a visit to the Glen Garioch Distillery, one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries. Here you’ll have the chance to learn about the history and process of whisky-making, as well as sample some traditional Scottish single malt.
The East Aquhorthies Stone Circle is an ancient monument that dates back to the Neolithic period. It consists of 9 standing stones and is one of the largest stone circles in Aberdeenshire. You’ll have the opportunity to walk amongst the stones and learn more about their significance.
Castle Fraser is a grand 16th-century castle that gives visitors a taste of life in Scotland’s upper class during the 19th century. You’ll get to explore the castle’s rooms, gardens and grounds and learn about its past.
No trip to Scotland would be complete without trying some of the delicious local food. The tour will provide samples of local food and you have the option to purchase lunch on the day trip as well.
