      There is a replica trebuchet on the castle grounds, which is a great photo opportunity! It was designed and built by professional set makers for the movie Ironclad and faithfully represents the real thing.

Cardiff Castle is easily accessible by public transport. It is located just a short walk from Cardiff Central and Cardiff Queen Street train stations. If you’re driving, there are several public car parks nearby, as well as on-street metered parking.
